Who says it doesn't pay to trade?

I met this lady online through my local freecycle when I posted an ISO ad. She didn't have what I was looking for, but had something even better.

She saw different items that I had purchased from pictures in my stockpile and we worked out a trade. She got something her family needed and we got this great fruit that my family needed.

Thanks Nora!

was this produce that she had purchased?

That's cool... maybe I should list on there and see if I can trade some of my stockpile for other items that I don't get coupons for...

yes cyberjf, she purchased it at a local store for a trade from items in my stock that I was not going to use.

I often get medicines and stuff like that when they are a great price and just donate them to the free clinic my mom and daughter volunteer at.

green...yes and even ask for fruit on freecycle...I have.

precious...nothing better than two people walking away happy with a trade they made.

as far as asking for something on freecycle and offering something in trade for a post, no I don't think you can do that.

I was looking for college books for my oldest for her summer school. This person didn't have them and she saw my blog, since I have it in my email sig link, and saw some great things I had gotten and we worked out a deal with that.

But specifically posting and ISO and wanting something back is against the rules I know.

Cool! That's great. To answer anonymous's question, no you aren't supposed to trade on Freecycle because then it's not really free, but there are tons of trading groups in my area at least, and there is also Craigslist.
